John Arthur Getreu is a serial killer in the United States. They were active from 1963–1974 . They currently have 1 victims, though they are suspected of 3+ . According to Wikipedia, Convicted of one murder in 1963, currently being investigated for possible crimes, prior to being identified as a suspect through GEDmatch in 1973 and 74 murders .

This happened primarily in California. He was sentenced to Sentenced to 10 years in prison (1963) . He has since been charged (see link above) in a second cold case in 2019.
