Defendant-Appellant, Michael Madison (“Madison”), was arrested on July 19, 2013, in connection with the discovery of a deceased female body in the garage

of his apartment building located in East Cleveland, Ohio. The body was enclosed in multiple layers of plastic garbage bags, with the victim’s body bent forward at the waist so that her head was at the level of her feet. The next day, two more dead bodies of female victims, similarly enclosed in garbage bags, were discovered by police in the general vicinity of Madison’s garage. The three victims were identified as Shirellda Terry (“Terry”), Shetisha Sheeley (“Sheeley”), and Angela H. Deskins (“Deskins”).
