According to Wiki, Pled guilty to hijacking a fishing vessel and murdering its crew. Was found adrift in said vessel in 2007. He also stole from Walmart in Arkansas and there have been allegations of sexual abuse.

According to Wikipedia, he was convicted of killing at least four women in Illinois and Arkansas; claimed in his book to have murdered eight women while stationed in Germany .

This happened primarily in Arkansas. He was sentenced to life imprisonment .
